Description
Private practice attorney handling matters for individual and business clients; client consultations; prepare contracts, deeds, notes, deeds of trust, security agreements and other transaction documents, entity formation and maintenance documents; transaction enabling documents such as corporate resolutions, unanimous consents and authorizations, delegations of trustee authority; prepare easement agreements or grants; review title search results and documents and investigate and resolve property title defects and insurable title issues; prepare wills, advance directives for healthcare, specific or durable general powers of attorney, and trust agreements; prepare and file probate pleadings and attend probate hearings online or in person as necessary; file charters, articles of organization, amendments, UCC1 financing statements, and other documents entities may file online via the Tennessee Secretary of State's office; review or prepare closing documents and handle residential and commercial property and business in person closings; e-record documents in Register's Offices via online e-recording service.
Requirements
Established, well-regarded small Wilson County law firm specializing in residential and commercial real estate (property development, contracts, deeds, closings, escrow and title insurance), trusts, personal business and estate planning, probate, business entity formations and business transactions seeks an experienced, qualified attorney to join the firm, or an affiliation or association with another nearby attorney or firm with core expertise in these practice areas. The ideal candidate to join the firm would be an attorney with not less than 5 years of experience in most or all of the firm’s practice areas and capability to assume front-line document preparation and transaction responsibilities for the firm’s clients. Reasonably high level of computer user and word processing competence required for use of cloud-based software services, enabling work production off-site, with on-site presence required as needed. Salary and/or other financial terms are negotiable depending on experience and engagement circumstances.
